Artists' Television Access screens Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar's bilingual documentary about three Latina immigrants' fight for labor rights. The film's heroines are employed in Los Angeles, but underpaid and subject to mistreatment in Forever 21's garment factories. Determined to bring their situation to light, they band together to battle the city's powerful clothing industry. Originally produced for PBS, Hecho en Los Angeles' intimate portrait is a striking riposte to politicians who seem content to ignore the issue of immigrant rights.
