Montreal's Islands had already collaborated with Beck, Wolf Parade, and Arcade Fire when they released their debut LP, Return to the Sea, back in 2006. Touring behind its recent ANTI- release The Arm's Way, the band crams in plenty of new material, such as "The Arm" — a jaunty, Technicolor indie-pop number full of Bowie-esque snippets and jangling strings — which illustrates how much their sound has evolved over the last two years.
