Between willfully simple, '50s-inspired numbers like "I'm a Little Dinosaur" and his work with the Modern Lovers, Jonathan Richman has the mark of a true indie-rock legend. And the proto-punk veteran's cult following has only grown in recent months, with his series of appearances on biggest-fan-ever Conan O'Brien's show and the release of a new album, Not So Much to Be Loved as to Love, in late March. The cheeky, Boston-obsessed rocker brings his relentless touring machine back to SF this week for a four-night stand at the Make-Out Room alongside longtime drummer Tommy Larkins.
