ATA continues its Global Undergrounds series with the short works of New York-by-way-of-Israel videosmith Guy Ben-Ner. A skilled purveyor of the type of guerrilla filmmaking that inspires amateurs to pick up cameras, Ben-Ner executes high-concept narratives with zero-budget sets and casts. Included in this presentation are Stealing Beauty, a family drama filmed at IKEA stores in Israel and New York; Berkeley's Island and Moby Dick, both of which turn Ben-Ner's kitchen into a setting for high-seas adventure; and Wild Boy, an adaptation of François Truffaut's L'enfant sauvage.
