Bruno Pronsato started out as a half-joking moniker that Seattle-based producer Steven Ford used for tracks that skewed more toward bump 'n grind than clicks 'n cuts. Pronsato's productions keep you on your toes, with elements that move away from minimal techno and enter deep-house territory. Skittering percussion samples flit around bass lines like flocks of paranoid pigeons, while creepy vocals drop in as red herrings. You're never sure where the digital breadcrumb trail leads, but in a scene where many bite the same Ableton loops, Pronsato's unpredictability is a plus. He headlines today's afternoon delight after reps from SF's [KONTROL] and Dirtybird crews warm up the crowd.
