This 1979 classic of urban cool and cartoon violence stars a street gang with true class. The posse takes on a rough 'n tumble (and breathtakingly costumed) slew of gangs that, according to the film's cheerily lowbrow logic, ruled NYC before the 1980s. From the sporty baseball-bat gymnastics of the Furies to the gritty sass of the Lizzies, the Warriors have their night cut out for them. If only moviegoers could look so good, sneer so well, and have such a kickin' theme song as they stroll over to the Red Vic.
