San Francisco composer/director Carrie Baum leads Exit's father-and-daughter team on a deadly odyssey to save humanity, prompted by a strange, television-based entity. The rousing pop-rock orchestrations and chorus of bombastic voices nod to classic predecessor Hair and recent triumph Hedwig and the Angry Inch, while Baum's production gives it all a distinctly San Franciscan theatricality.
