Author and radical queer activist Matt Bernstein Sycamore (aka Mattilda) has long been a necessary fly in the ointment of mainstream gay culture, critiquing its unchecked drive toward assimilation, blindness to issues of race and class, and shallow consumerism. With Pride looming on the horizon, Sycamore has assembled a panel of activists, artists, and academics to discuss past and future strategies for resisting the normalization of queer life. Many of the panelists contributed to the Sycamore-edited volume That's Revolting!, a revised version of which debuts tonight.
