"I'm ignorant toward Harvey, Cosmic, Balearic, Italo and all that sort of vibe," confesses techno DJ/producer Stefan Goldmann on his MySpace page, glossing over dance music's current "it" genres, "[but I'm] deeply lost in anything pretentious from the last four decades." The laundry list of influences that follows ('90s drum 'n bass, Anthony Braxton) isn't exactly what one would expect from one of techno's most closely watched players. But then again, Goldmann's records — including 2006's massive and dreamy Sleepy Hollow EP — and DJ sets have never catered to lazy expectations. Honey Soundsystem DJs provide support.
