Curator Margaret Tedesco warms the walls of her Mission-district gallery with abstract color compositions in Unlikely Arrivals, an exhibition featuring a trio of artists whose practices merge into surprising visual harmonies. Trained as a musician, Ishan Clemenco snaps chalk lines onto old Polaroid film sheets, leaving dusty striations of yellow, blue, and white that resemble the strings of an instrument; sculptor Susan Martin's quilt-like arrangement of hand-stitched color squares (inspired by a French embroidery catalog) creates a scattered field of hues; and photographer Nina Hubbs Zurier multiplies a single hazy landscape into 24 tonal variations.
