San Francisco is becoming a hotbed of bedroom-producer Frankensteins, who stitch together party monsters from Lil Jon, Diplo, and Ghislain Poirier with supernatural skill. Heading up these bass-obsessed young turks is Ryan Philip Merry, whose Ghosts on Tape productions phase between phantom samples, shards of digital distortion, and concrete-thick electro beats. Tonight, Merry rocks the party with SF lazer-bass ambassadors Lazer Sword, along with support from hip-hop hackers Ben Thompson, Twisted Scissor, and Disruption.
