Part performance piece and part street fair, interactive exhibition Open for Business invites 16 contemporary artists to unleash the entrepreneur within. Each vendor sets up shop in a booth of their own design to sell, barter, or give away a homegrown product or service. Travis Meinolf gives instructions on how to weave a wool poncho, while Justin Limoges hawks temporary tattoos. Designer and mitten-maker Alissa Anderson turns visitors' old T-shirts into reusable grocery bags, and Shashana Chittle offers yoga lessons. Open for Business turns mindless consumption into thoughtful interaction, giving artists a chance to bring their day jobs into the gallery.
