Film Midnight Mass presents Barbarella (1968)

Jane Fonda stars in then-husband Roger Vadim's adaptation of a '60s underground French comic book. Between purity-endangering adventures (all on her way to rescue the MIA Dr. Durand Durand), the titular heroine cycles through a series of improbable fashion "don'ts," including a clear plastic brassiere and a mosaic-like tunic made of green glass. Since tonight's pre-screening stage show is entitled Bear-ber-ella, expect attendees' fashion failures to veer more often toward animal skins than synthetic blends. Drag hostess Peaches Christ gives less hirsute participants a chance to be publicly pleasured (and humiliated) during her Orgasmatron Challenge.
