Ah, the '90s: the time of tapered pants, Mr. Bungle, and the parade of literary shame known as Mortified. These ongoing readings, in which adults dust off their most shameful adolescent artifacts, from journals to home movies, are performed nationwide. The Mortified Guide to Love, Sex & Death brings together the LA and SF chapters and features, among other painfully hilarious spectacles, the diary memoirs of a first relationship, an Excel spreadsheet documenting the hookups of an anal retentive teenage girl, and the homemade horror movies of a death-obsessed 11 year old.
