The Black Ghosts are vocalist Simon Lord and ex-Wiseguys DJ Theo Keating. Lord isn't a familiar name, but, unless you've been trapped in a panic room for the last decade, his voice is likely lodged deep within your brain. His former band, Simian, was responsible for the seminal indie-dance anthem "We Are Your Friends", and he recently took the mic as a guest for his old bandmates (now Simian Mobile Disco) on their recent single "I Believe". Lord's new outfit focuses less on dance, laying his unmistakable vocals over booming synth-pop and nu-funk numbers. Also spectral in name, Holy Ghost! summon the spirits of disco's past in their opening DJ set.
