Film Midnight Mass presents Starrbooty (2007)

The inimitable RuPaul stars in this tribute to the blaxploitation genre of the 1970s. The predictably over-the-top campfest gives the drag icon a chance to ham it up, with just a trace of a plot to reign him in. As the titular Starrbooty, he must go undercover as a hooker — a convincing one, at that — to get back his kidnapped niece. A cast of equally ridiculous characters joins in the fun. Peaches Christ interviews RuPaul before the show, which also features a participatory SF Hooker Pride Parade.
