Like many a Sabbath-inspired doom-metal band, Trouble had a tough time surviving the hair-band '80s — but thanks in part to the godlike hand of über-producer Rick Rubin, they've outlived just about every last pop-metal outfit out there (unless you count reality-TV appearances). Through countless lineup changes and nearly three decades of wear and tear, Trouble have kept the faith with hard-driving, slow-burning heavy metal and long, long hair. Sharing the stage are Santa Cruz's Mammatus, a retro-styled psychedelic band intent on bringing prog rock back to the people.
