As American artists find new avenues for their creativity — recycled materials and urban stories woven through tapestries, for instance — this annual fair pays vibrant tribute to the evolving world of national craft. More than 250 artists have chosen some of their finest creations to showcase at the fair, and the selection is broad: wearable art, decorative textiles, sculptures, and musical instruments, like Ronald Cook's intricately carved wood dulcimers and ukuleles. The offerings aren't limited to crafts — on Friday from 6-8pm, take in "The Politics Of Craft and Design," a lively discussion on the convergence of art, technology, and politics.
