Even by indie-rock standards, Tara Jane O'Neil (formerly of Rodan and the Sonora Pine) has kept a low profile. She has spent years quietly putting out a steady stream of beautiful, understated releases in the same revisionist folk-country vein as Louisville, Kentucky, native Will Oldham — while simultaneously holding down a career as a visual artist. Tonight, O'Neil is joined on the bill by another artist-chanteuse, Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs, whose new alias, Palms, picks up where her beloved folk duo, the Finches, left off. Katy Davidson, of twee-poppers Dear Nora, opens.
