Somewhere in this excellent installation by "Lydia Fong" (the latest alias of San Francisco artist Barry McGee) there may just be a "moment for reflection" as the exhibition title promises, but gallery-goers are forgiven if they're hard-pressed to find it. With its onslaught of immobilizing, seizure-inducing patterns, kinetic sculptures, appropriated surfboards, and the artist's signature patchwork of salon-style graffiti odes, McGee's latest gallery takeover leaves little room for quiet contemplation. But the relentless visual information, while loud, achieves a familiar discord - as if to say that while there may not be a moment for reflection, this is a reflection of the moment.
