Of late, the Red Headed Stranger has only made headlines via a string of so-so albums, dubious new-country collaborations (though we forgive him — we know he only did them to get out of bankruptcy), and pot busts. But thanks to his near-constant touring, we are reminded that Willie stands with the likes of Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, and Townes Van Zandt as one of our most important singer-songwriters.
