Sleek, colorless efficiency be damned; Irreverent presents two sides of the new Scandinavian art. Blending homage to traditional materials and processes with innovative deconstruction of Scandinavian Modernism, the nine featured artists — who hail from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland — use everything from color and camp to intricate organics and vintage forms. The exhibit focuses on sculpture and installation pieces, and the amalgam of new and old is vibrant, intimate, and, above all, dynamic.
