An opening reception takes place on Thursday, Feb 12 (6–8pm).
The San Francisco Center for the Book adds an international spin to its venerable collection of artists' books with Wings for Words, an exhibit that brings together 14 artists from South Korea and Japan. The works range from artistic renderings of narrative tales (Ryoko Adachi's Jack and the Beanstalk) to conceptual books as sculpture (Haran Kim's Striped Dictionary). Much of the exhibit is being shown in the United States for the first time, so the show is a perfect opportunity to check out one of SF's cultural gems.
