Out on his first US jaunt, wunderkind dubstep producer Zomby hits Rickshaw Stop this evening to showcase his fresh take on the sounds of the UK underground. The past few months have seen him release records on WerkDiscs, Ramp, and Kode9's esteemed Hyperdub, that show him seamlessly working within blippy, 8-bit hip-hop, bassy jungle, and skittery 2-step — but never quite sounding like any of the above. Tonight, even the most timid heads will be out on the floor when Zomby says, "F*ck mixing, let's dance."
