An unlikely, curious, and beautiful patchwork of vignettes ruminating on the future make up the dance-theatre hybrid The Future Project : Sunday Will Come. Erika Chong Shuch hovers and chops through the wet stone playground of a stage co-inhabited with Sean San Jose. The two battle and embrace, float on elation and crumple into despondency, but mainly they loaf about, gabbing about mortality with a compelling mixture of mordant humor and poignant essentialism. They prod at the shrinking borders between the physical and emotional, and sink into a relaxed off-beat rhythm of breathing, prancing, and debating that approximates nothing so much as life itself.
