Three years into the game, the Treasure Island Music Festival has defined itself as the hipper, younger sibling of Outside Lands, with a quirkier setting and an eclectic lineup geared toward the indie dance-party set. This year's schedule is split into what can roughly be described as an electro day (Saturday) and a rock day (Sunday): psychedelic jam duo MGMT, mashup master Girl Talk, and crunchy techno rockers MSTRKRFT anchor Saturday's festivities, with opening slots going to local acts like the electro-pop Limousines and jazz-soul rappers Crown City Rockers. Sunday features marquee acts such as the Flaming Lips and the Decemberists, as well as Edward Sharpe's jangly folk orchestra and Thao Nguyen's earnest pop.
