San Francisco Performances and YBCA join forces to present England’s DV8 Physical Theatre, which returns after twelve years with the Bay Area premiere of To Be Straight With You, artistic Director Lloyd Newson’s poetic and unflinching exploration of tolerance, religion and homosexuality. Inspired by hundreds of hours of interviews with people directly affected by these issues, To Be Straight With You includes dance, documentary, animation and film. This poignant and visceral theatrical experience will resonate with Bay Area Audiences as gay marriage continues to be a hot-button issue in American politics.
