Café Tacuba have been rocking en Español since a group of graphic-design students got together to jam in Mexico City in 1989, but most of their US acclaim — including a 2004 Grammy — came about after they opened for Beck on his Midnite Vultures tour. An ardent Anglo following sprouted, and three albums and several soundtrack contributions later, the quartet is still churning out creative updates on everything from Mexican folk music and metal to hip-hop and electronica. Tonight, as the band celebrates their 20th anniversary, don't worry if you don't know the lingo — headbanging is a universal language.
