San Francisco's Summer of Love gave birth to many things: our stereotypical image of hippies; boomer nostalgia; and a whole lot of freaked out acid rock. Tee Pee Records and Secret Serpent have joined forces to celebrate the darker, fuzzier, and heavier side of the '60s by bringing together some of today's best practitioners of mutant psychedelia for Fog Rising. Acts include Witch, the newest project of powerhouse drummer Mario Rubalcaba (Earthless, Clikitat Ikatowi), Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound, Jason Simon of Dead Meadow, former Lowercase frontman Imaad Wasif's new band Two Part Beast, among many others. There will also be an art show displaying the graphic talents of famed poster artists, Alan Forbes, David D'Andrea, Alan Haynes and Marq Spusta.
