Michael Chabon is a writer of great imagination, wit, and intelligence. In 2001, he received the Pulitzer Prize for The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, a novel inspired by his fascination with comics, superheroes, and graphic novels. His many books include, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, Wonder Boys, and The Yiddish Policemen's Union. His new book, Manhood for Amateurs: The Pleasures and Regrets of a Husband, Father, and Son, is a collection of personal essays about everything from raising his four children, to man purses and baseball cards to divorce and regret.

Adam Gopnik is a long time staff writer for The New Yorker. His books include From Paris to the Moon, The King in the Window, and Angels and Ages: A Short Book about Darwin, Lincoln and Modern Life.
