Photographer Lauren Dukoff began chronicling the world of Devendra Banhart when the two were still teens. She was the candid and familiar eye, clicking away as Banhart's merry band of freak folksters expanded to include the likes of Joanna Newsom, Vetiver, Entrance, and Ramblin Jack Elliott. Dukoff's devotion to real film over digital and her attachment to the musicians she follows make for gritty, unguarded moments; she has also snapped some big names — Mary J. Blige, Beck, Kim Gordon, Neil Young — for Rolling Stone, Spin, and NYLON, but in this show, her focus lingers on Banhart's gypsy crew.
