The eclectic and talented Adam J. Ansell has directed theatre for over 20 years, and in that time, he's fine-tuned a reputation for productions that are both aesthetically eye-popping and notable for engaging some of the city's most at-risk populations. His latest work, subtitled The Case of the Sleepwalking Streetwalker, is a murder mystery turned philosophical jaunt culled from a round robin of exquisite corpse among Ansell's own troupe, the Gray Area Ensemble. The result is a witty take on detective work, framed by a host of ponderous questions about awareness, existence, and the nature of theatre itself.
