Known for his out-there turntable antics, DJ /rupture is an unmistakable original. His most recent release, a collaboration with guitarist Andy Moor (of Dutch post-punk outfit the Ex), is one of those grand ideas that's so soaked with record-geek pretense that it could easily end up a crispy black mess. Luckily, the pair's work skirts the potential pitfall of over-indulgence — so much so that it's hard to believe it comes from two different brains. Tonight, the avant-garde turnablist is back out on his own, with the dizzying spectacle that's made him an off-kilter dance-floor king.
