The parade begins at 11:30 am at the corner of Second and Market Streets.
New York City's festivities might get more news coverage, but SF's annual St. Patrick's day parade is the largest display of kelly-green pride west of the Mississippi. The procession of Irish American cultural groups, marching bands, and uniformed police officers, military brass, and firefighters heads up Market to Civic Center, where live entertainment, a children's petting zoo, and plenty of Guinness on tap await.
