Jazz-obsessed drummer Chris "Daddy" Dave has a way of humanizing the most outrageous rhythms — a talent that has made him the go-to man for everyone from Mary J. Blige to Dianne Reeves. Starting tonight, Dave and his Revive Da Live crew hit Yoshi's Oakland stage alongside rap superstar Mos Def (who's spent a lot of the last few years slinking around in the shadows of cinema) for a special three-day residency.
