If you've ever seen Disney's one-off horror film The Watcher in the Woods (1980), you can imagine the creepiness of a similarly inspired art exhibit. Gallery 1988 brings together East Coast artists Daniel Danger and Dan McCarthy, known for their vivid renderings of nature in its many forms. Danger's specialty is contrasting darkness and color in detailed urban landscapes, and his aesthetics are perfectly complemented by McCarthy's Gorey-inspired sceneries. Both artists have a keen eye for depicting nature's often ominous scope, and the places that people occupy within it.
