Igor & Red Elvises provide a Russian spin on classic American pop, performing surf and rockabilly tunes inspired by the sounds of their native Los Angeles. Fellow Californians the Pyronauts may be based out of Sacramento, a city whose surf culture has historically been hampered by the absence of nearby beaches or bodies of water, but that doesn't mean they can't channel that surf-rock spirit as well as some of those more geographically privileged bands. Played exclusively on period-appropriate Fender gear, the Pyronauts' instrumentals are rooted in the tradition of vintage acts such as the Del Tones, the Surfaris, and the Ventures.
