Since doing a little dance with DFA called Cone Toaster several years back, Brooklyn noiseniks Black Dice have turned their eyes to the dance floor, developing a crisp, neon-bright electronic aesthetic. Proving that they're never done evolving, Black Dice's new record, Repo, is a boggling confusion of derailed, acid-dosed beats, Dan Deacon-esque squiggle, very murky psychedelia, guitar, and, hey, even some ol' fashioned noise-churn for good measure. And if BD's sonic assault doesn't do enough eardrum damage, be sure to stick around for headliners Wolf Eyes, who up the noise ante with their dark, Industrial Records-inspired sound.
