Major Lazer — a rogue Jamaican commando who fights zombies with his laser appendages and a rocket-powered skateboard — is the latest creation of uber-producers and dance-party kings Diplo and Switch. The outfit combines dancehall riddims and futuristic bass riffs to create bangers like Santigold and Lex's "Hold the Line," while staying heavy enough to kill the living and the undead alike. Major Lazer unleashes his sonic attack along with Boys Noize, DJ Vadim, Gallic electro-rockers Phoenix, and a host of other bass-heavy knob twiddlers as part of the two-day long Spectrum Music Festival.
