For decades, Hayao Miyazaki's films have amazed and inspired audiences with their unique animation and enthralling storylines. In anticipation of his receipt of the 2009 Berkeley Japan Prize, the PFA presents four of Miyazaki's finest films on the big screen. My Neighbor Totoro (1988) is a gorgeous glimpse at the wood spirits of rural Japan, and Porco Rosso (1992) follows the adventures of an air-pirate hunter during WWI. Also featured are the floating cities of Castle in the Sky (1986) and the epic struggle between forest guardians and humans in Princess Mononoke (1997).
