As we mentioned last week, San Francisco just got a little more bike-friendly, with the approved addition of 30-plus miles of bike lanes throughout the city. And what better way to celebrate this validation of pedal power than at the Bicycle Film Festival? Things kick off with two nights of performances by special musical guests Blonde Redhead, followed by the Joyride art show on Thursday — but this year's film selection is no less special. Of particular note are the 1956 Japanese racing drama Keirin Queen and documentaries on Manhattan pedicab drivers, BMX entrepreneurs, and the Trinidadian mobile boom boxes of Queens.
