Butterfly Boucher's sophomore LP, Scary Fragile, has been a long time coming. The Aussie songstress who describes her work as "too pop for the indie scene, and too indie for the pop world" found herself stuck in the middle of a three-year tug-of-war with Geffen Records, sadly reminiscent of Wilco's experience with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Boucher has finally been set free and all June she is celebrating by taking Scary Fragile on the road. Tonight, she hits the intimate Cafe du Nord with KRCW-approved openers Emilie Simon and Ryan Auffenberg.
