Sure, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart are still a little wet behind the ears, but they've polished their style to a squeak. Tapping the shoegaze aesthetic of Galaxie 500 and My Bloody Valentine — albeit in doubletime — as well as the saccharine sex-pop of the Raveonettes, the Pains promise a bombastic, ecstatic show. Remember C86, Mighty Mighty, the Wolfhounds, and Bogshed? Be ready to feel nostalgic about jangly, early 90's Anglophilia.
