Toronto-bred spazz-rockers the Rural Alberta Advantage mine the erratic tropes of Canadian indie acts, while simultaneously mimicking the lo-fi buzz of American institution Neutral Milk Hotel. Heavy buzzes melt over cawing vocals as horns and guitar squeal to high heaven. It's no trip to Avery Island, but in the absence of Jeff Mangum and other old-school Elephant Sixers, we could all do a whole lot worse.
