Still feeling the heat from the Crucible's Fire Arts Festival and need some more fire in your life? Local pyro artisans the Flaming Lotus Girls are throwing a bash to preview their newest flaming sculpture for this year's Burning Man. Based on the structure of a neuron, the twisted metal conconction, titled Soma, incorporates spinning balls of fire (the neuron's nuclei and dendrites), to create the kind of kinetic chaos that the Lotus Girls do so well. And with live musical entertainment and plenty of libations, tonight's party will practically be like being on the Playa (dust not included).
