The foul-tempered, dirty-mouthed and ruggedly unkempt puppets of the Shadow Circus Vaudeville Theatre could easily be the bad seeds from Jim Henson's Creature Workshop. From Kafka, the radioactive cockroach (and talking Gregor Samsa tribute), to Hatchet, the street-hustling Velociraptor who lurks in the TL, Shadow Circus' menagerie of life-sized foam and latex creations are far from the stuff of child's play. The troupe returns to the Climate Theatre for a two-night run of Lovecraftian horror, salty language, and even a musical number or two.
