The kids just wanna rock 'n roll all night in Jesse Hawthorne Ficks' latest midnight movie extravaganza of unknown and underappreciated classics. The evening starts off with Michael Nankin and David Wechter's homemade 1978 musical Junior High School (featuring a 16 year old Paula Abdul), and then moves on to the original Tenacious D, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Next is the Abrahams and Zucker slapstick-fest Top Secret (1984), about a secret army mission to deploy an Elvis-like pop star (Val Kilmer) in Nazi-occupied Germany. Capping off the program is Get Crazy! (1983), a scathing satire of the '80s music industry starring Malcom McDowell as an ego-driven front man, with cameo performances by Lou Reed and FEAR singer Lee Ving.
