Featuring student work from the Architecture summer 2009 travel studios in Argentina, the Netherlands, and Central Europe (Vienna, Berlin, and Basel). The Argentina studio explored temporary structures and the impact of increasing globalization on urban life through design proposals for a youth and community center in the historic center of Buenos Aires. The Netherlands studio investigated chair designs based on spatial and material strategies observed in contemporary Dutch architecture. Students in the Vienna-Berlin-Basel studio looked at the European 10: Inventing Urbanity competition, analyzing significant works of architecture in their Central European context, and collaborating with students from Technische Universität Vienna and the University of Stuttgart on proposals for urban housing.
