Piero Lissoni is principal of the award-winning studio Lissoni Associati, based in Milan, working in architecture, graphic design, industrial design, and interior design. Projects in progress include a luxury resort on Dellis Cay, a private island, which will include a Mandarin Hotel, residences, and large villas; the interior architecture for the Shangri-La hotel and residence in Miami; an innovative hotel in the Museum Square area of Amsterdam; and the Mamilla Hotel (with 192 new rooms and suites) and the interior architecture of its bar, lounge, and Scala restaurant, in Jerusalem. In 2005 Lissoni was inducted into the New York Hall of Fame of Interior Design. He has won the Elle Decoration International Design Award and the Chicago Athenaeum Museum’s Good Design Award. In 2006 he was recognized as the New Designer of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards for the sailing yacht Ghost.
