Gifted turntablist and Deltron 3030 member Kid Koala’s most recent collaboration finds him working with frequent partner Dynomite D (Dylan Frombach). Calling themselves the Slew, the duo's music is an intriguing mix that seems to veer giddily between hip hop, funk, and vintage rock, frequently anchoring Koala’s skillful turntable work to hard rock guitar riffs. Add into the mix touring rhythm section, Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, formerly of ’70s rock fetishists Wolfmother, and you have the sickest hesher-meets-DJ mash-up since "Walk This Way."
